Exported PDF page tree is out of sequence and missing sections when using custom PDF export in spaces with many pages

    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Issue Summary

When exporting a page tree as a PDF using a custom PDF template from a Confluence space containing a large number of pages, the resulting PDF does not maintain the correct order of pages/sections. Additionally, some sections or pages are missing from the exported document. This issue disrupts documentation integrity and makes the exported PDF unreliable for sharing or archiving purposes.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. In Confluence, create or use a space with a large number of pages organised in a page tree.
      2. Use the custom PDF export feature to export a section of the page tree.
      3. Open the exported PDF and review the order and completeness of the sections/pages.

      Expected Results

The exported PDF should contain all pages/sections from the selected page tree, in the correct order as displayed in Confluence.

      Actual Results

      • The order of pages/sections in the PDF does not match the page tree structure in Confluence.
      • Some sections/pages are missing from the exported PDF.

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available.
