Problem Statement:
Currently, in Confluence Cloud, it is not possible to delete attachments directly from the Content Manager (Space Settings > Content Management > Attachments). Even users with the “Delete Attachment” permission can only view and filter attachments, but there is no option to delete them from this centralized view.

Workaround:

The only way to delete an attachment is to navigate to the specific page where the file is attached and remove it from there.

Expected Behavior:
Users with the appropriate permissions should be able to delete attachments directly from the Content Manager’s attachments list. This was possible in previous versions and is a common expectation for space administrators and content managers who need to manage files efficiently.

Use Cases & Impact:

• Bulk management: Space admins often need to review and clean up outdated or unnecessary attachments across many pages. Doing this page by page is time-consuming and inefficient.

• Permission alignment: Users with “Delete Attachment” permission expect to be able to perform this action wherever attachments are listed, not just on individual pages.

• Consistency: Other content management actions (like viewing, filtering, or downloading) are available in the Content Manager. Deletion should be consistent with these capabilities.

Suggested Solution:

• Restore the ability to delete attachments directly from the Content Manager’s attachments list.

• Optionally, allow bulk selection and deletion of multiple attachments.

• Ensure that only users with the correct permissions can perform these actions.

This change would significantly improve the efficiency of content and space management for admins and power users, reduce the risk of orphaned or outdated files, and align the UI with user expectations and historical functionality.
