Currently, when using Smart Links in Confluence, users have the convenient option to preview the content of the linked item directly within the page, without needing to navigate away. This greatly enhances the user experience by providing quick access to essential information and context.
However, the Cards Macro does not offer a similar preview capability. Users are required to click through to view the details of the card, which can disrupt workflow and reduce efficiency, especially when working with multiple cards or when quick reference is needed.
Introducing a preview feature for the Cards Macro would bring the following benefits:
- Improved Usability: Users could quickly glance at the contents or summary of a card without leaving the current page.
- Consistency: Aligns the user experience of Cards Macro with that of Smart Links, creating a more unified and intuitive interface.
- Enhanced Productivity: Reduces the number of clicks and page loads required to access information, saving time and keeping users focused on their tasks.
- Better Information Access: Facilitates easier comparison and review of multiple cards
