Issue Summary
We have observed that when AI summarization is enabled in Confluence, pages containing a combination of links, special characters, and symbols cause the AI to fail to process the content properly. This issue leads to significant performance degradation, with pages becoming unresponsive when hovering over the affected page titles in the navigation pane.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create or use the "test page" with content similar to the one below:
Task ID: task_id_123456
Strategy: abc test
Original Title: A_B_C Order Flow Dynamics Research test - SUCCESSFUL testing
Generated: The Task Information ================================================== Task ID: a_b_234bjkwfwfw_344 Output Directory: /abc/def/alpha/123/alpha_task_2314213141
- Publish the page
- Navigate to the hierarchy or another page
- Hover over the page title "Test page" in the left navigation.
- The AI summarization fails to generate any summary, and the browser tab becomes unresponsive when attempting to interact further.
Expected Results
When hovering over page titles in the left navigation, the AI should successfully generate a summary of the page content without causing any performance issues or unresponsiveness in the browser.
Actual Results
The AI fails to generate a summary for pages containing certain combinations of links, special characters, and symbols. When hovering over the page title, the browser tab becomes unresponsive, severely impacting Confluence’s performance.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
