      Description:

We archive spaces in Confluence Cloud to hide them from the sidebar navigation, but still need to search their content regularly. Currently, users must manually enable the “Show archived content” option in advanced search each time. We would like a setting (user, admin, or global) to have this option enabled by default, making it easier to find archived content without extra steps.

      Use Case:

      • Teams that archive spaces for organizational clarity but need to reference old content frequently.
      • Reduces friction for users who regularly search archived spaces.

      Expected Behavior:
A setting or preference to have “Show archived content” enabled by default in advanced search.

      Actual Behavior:
The option is off by default and must be manually enabled every time.

      Business Impact:

      • Increases efficiency for teams working with archived content.
      • Reduces risk of missing important information stored in archived spaces.
