Issue Summary
The German translation of the message that appears upon disabling the reminders is gibberish. The original English message reads "You've turned off reminders for
: {Event Type}
in {Calendar Name}". The German translation still contains the English word "off" and the structure of the sentence is completely wrong. It should read something along the lines of "Sie haben die Erinnerungen für {Event Type}
in
: {Calendar Name}
ausgeschaltet", with "ausgeschaltet" meaning "disabled". Please forward this issue to your translators.
Steps to Reproduce
- Set up your mail server for Confluence notifications under General Configuration > Mail Servers
- Browse to Calendars in the Confluence header
- Create a new Calendar
- Define a new event with a Start time in the next 30 minutes, and set the Reminder as "5 minutes before"
- On the menu close to "Events," ensure the reminders are turned on.
- If they are actually set, you will see "Turn off reminders" as a menu option.
- Wait until you receive a mail notification in your inbox about the Event you just configured.
- The mail notification includes a link on the top right side called "Turn off reminder." Click this link to unsubscribe from future notifications.
- You will be routed back to the Calendar Page, but the German Translation is not correct
Expected Results
It is expected that when we turn off the reminder, the message should also say that the reminders are turned off in German.
Actual Results
After turning off the reminder, the message says,
Sie haben off Erinnerungen für martintest in AnujTest eingestellt. Zurück zu "Meine Kalender".
which, when translated to English, is, which is ambiguous
You've set reminders for martintest in AnujTest. Return to "My Calendars."

However, if we just use the browser translate option, it shows correctly
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
