Problem Statement
When users link objects—such as shapes, pages, tasks, or other content—to nodes in a mindmap, those connections become fixed. There is currently no straightforward way to adjust, re-route, or remove these connectors as the mindmap evolves during brainstorming or planning.
Customer Impact
This limitation reduces the flexibility of mindmaps. As users refine their ideas or reorganize the structure, they cannot easily update or remove links between nodes and objects. This can result in cluttered mindmaps, confusion, and extra manual effort to rebuild or tidy up the content.
Suggested Improvement
Enable users to adjust connectors between mindmap nodes and linked objects dynamically. Key enhancements would include:
- The ability to remove or re-route connectors without deleting the node or the linked object.

- A user-friendly interface for managing connections as the mindmap changes.

- Undo and redo support for connector adjustments.

Value
Adding this capability would make mindmaps in Confluence Cloud more flexible and easier to use, helping users organize and adapt their ideas more efficiently as their work progresses.
