Status lost when page version is deleted

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

When a page has multiple versions with the same Status, deleting the oldest version with that Status will cause all subsequent versions to either lose their Status or inherit the previous Status.

It appears that a 'same as previous version' state is stored when new versions are published without Status changes.

      Steps to Reproduce

      Steps:

      1. Create a new page and add any Status
      2. Edit the page multiple times without changing the Status
      3. Navigate to Page History and notice all versions have the same Status (expected)
      4. Delete Version 1 and notice the remaining versions will lose their Status (not expected)

      Example

Here is a page with 3 Statuses and multiple versions:

Deleting Version 8 which is the first to have an In Progress Status:

Subsequent versions lost the In Progress Status and "inherited" the previous Rough draft:

Deleting Version 1 which is the first to have a Rough draft Status causes all versions up to Ready for review to lose all statuses:

      Expected Results

Statuses should be preserved when deleting page versions.

      Actual Results

Statuses are lost or changed when a specific page version is deleted.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
