Allow Default Value for "Select List (Multiple Choices)" Fields from Confluence Tables to Jira Issues

XMLWordPrintable

Update: The description below is a feature request for full support of "Select List" field types when configuring bulk Jira items and is being tracked in CONFCLOUD-82455. However, the customer points out that the legacy experience provided a way to set a default value to be used in the bulk items created using this experience. This bug ticket is for updating the new experience to achieve feature parity with the old experience. This bug fix should provide a way for the user to "map" a default value for Select List fields from the Jira bulk item creation's configuration panel.

At present, when creating Jira issues directly from a Confluence table, the ability to map "Select List (multiple choices)" fields (especially the two fields shown below) is not supported. This feature request proposes adding support for this functionality, as "Select List (multiple choices)" is a commonly used custom field type in Jira. Enhancing this capability will streamline workflows and improve integration between Confluence and Jira by allowing users to seamlessly transfer complex data types:

      • Product Family: Select List (multiple choices)
      • Data Processing Activity: Select List (multiple choices)
