      Issue Summary

Users are able to display Jira work items in a Confluence page by pasting the URL of a search in Jira

It's not possible to search set a user as the assignee on the Confluence page if their display name is using only non English alphabet characters, such as Korean, or Chinese Characters.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Set the display name of a user to have only non English alphabet characters. So far this is confirmed to impact hangul and kanji. Example names tested: 渡辺 謙, 김미영
      2. Perform a JQL search in Jira
      3. Copy the URL of the Jira search and paste it in to a Confluence page
      4. After publishing the Confluence page, try editing the assignee on one of the returned Jira work items and type in the first character of the user to search for them, Eg. enter in 渡, 김미

      Expected Results

User search displays user profile matching the entered characters and allow the assignee to be updated to that user.

      Actual Results

The correct user profile is briefly displayed in results before the results are updated again and show 'No options'. Additionally, the following message is shown in the bottom left corner of Confluence:

      We’re having trouble fetching options

Wait a few minutes, then try again. Check your project settings or contact support if this keeps happening.

      Workaround

Update the assignee on the work item directly in Jira
