Issue Summary
When users view a Confluence Cloud page and navigate to a specific subsection, and clicking 'Edit' from that subsection does not preserve their scroll position. Instead, the page enters edit mode but does not land exactly at the same subsection, requiring users to manually scroll and locate their place. This disrupts workflow, especially on long or complex pages.
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a Confluence Cloud page with multiple headings/subsections.
- In view mode, scroll down to a subsection on the page.
- Click the 'Edit' button while viewing that subsection.
Expected Results
After clicking 'Edit', the page should enter edit mode and automatically scroll to the same subsection or heading the user was viewing, maintaining context and minimizing manual navigation.
Actual Results
When entering edit mode, the page does not land at the same subsection. Users are often returned to the top of the page or to an unrelated section, requiring them to scroll and find the location.
Workaround
Currently, users must manually scroll to the desired subsection after entering edit mode.
