Issue Summary
Currently, if a user does not have space permission to Add Pages, whiteboards, databases, and Smart Links to the space but does have permission to Add a Comment, they are unable to add comments to a Confluence Whiteboard.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Confluence Whiteboard
- Select one of the available templates which already contain elements.
Create these permissions for the user:
- For the Space Permission of "Pages, whiteboards, databases, and Smart Links" uncheck 'Add'
- For the Space Permission of "Comments" check 'Add'
Login as the user that has the permissions set from the previous steps and perform these steps:
- Right click one of the elements present in the Confluence Whiteboard.
Expected Results
User is able to view the menu with the option to add comments to the Confluence Whiteboard element since they have Add Comments Space Permissions, even though they do not have Add Pages, whiteboards, databases, and Smart Links.
Actual Results
User only sees the option Copy in the pop-up menu.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
