      Issue Summary

      The first character input gets duplicated when entering Japanese on the whiteboard.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Switch to Japanese IME.
      2. Type "Kaizen(改善)"

      Expected Results

      The text should be converted as "改善"

      Actual Results

      The text is converted as "k改善" (the first "k" is duplicated)

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
