Problem
When creating a database with a filter on a linked field, such as Jira issue details or page details, the database fails to display entries that match the filter criteria initially.
No matching entries found We could not find any entries matching your filters
This issue also occurs with filters on page status and page label fields.
Environment
Affects confluence cloud instances using databases with filters applied on linked fields such as Jira issue details or page link fields.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a database with a filter on a linked field (e.g., Jira issue details or page details).
- Ensure there are entries that match the filter criteria.
- Access the database to view the entries.
Expected Results
The database should display entries that match the filter criteria immediately upon accessing the database.
Actual Results
Initially, no entries are displayed, and a "no entries found" message may flash briefly before the database content fully loads. This loading issue is more pronounced with larger databases.
Workaround
- Navigate away from and then back to the database by refreshing the page or visiting a different page.
- Switch to a different view that does not have a filter applied and then back to the filtered view.
Notes
- The issue is similar, but distinct from (
CONFCLOUD-82072), which pertains to filter groups. - A temporary "loading" message could improve user experience by indicating that data is being retrieved.
- Consider exploring performance improvements to enhance loading times, especially for large databases.
