Issue Summary

When attempting to use the typeahead feature to search for categories while assigning them to a space, the input field loses focus after each letter is typed. This requires the user to manually refocus the input field, leading to potential navigation away from the Space Details screen due to unintended keyboard shortcuts being triggered.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Navigate to the Space Details screen, where you can assign categories.
2. Begin typing in the typeahead input field to search for categories.

Expected Results

The input field should maintain focus as the user types, allowing them to continue entering text seamlessly.

Actual Results

After each letter is typed, the input field loses focus. Users must click back into the input field to continue typing. This can also lead to the activation of keyboard shortcuts, causing unintended navigation away from the Space Details screen.

Workaround

If you want to search for an entire word, you can write it in another place and copy, then paste it into the search field.
