Issue Summary
Some users are experiencing an issue where the Insert excerpt macro is unexpectedly displaying its content in a single vertical line. This appears to occur when the page and macro are in edit mode – view mode renders the content normally.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an Exerpt macro on a Confluence page, and add content – update the page.
- Create an Insert Excerpt macro on the same page or a different page, and and configure it to reference the Excerpt created in Step 1 – update the page.
- Edit the page that has the Insert Excerpt macro, and click the "Edit" icon on the macro.
Expected Results
The Insert Excerpt macro should display the source content in a horizontal inline fashion while in edit mode.
Actual Results
The Insert Excerpt macro displays the source content in a single vertical line while in edit mode.
Workaround
In the Insert Excerpt macro's edit modal, unchecking the Remove title and frame checkbox appears to render the content as expected for affected users.
