Problem
In the new cloud Editor, when using the Ctrl+F search function in Confluence page edit mode, Korean characters are displayed as separated consonants and vowels instead of properly composed characters.
Environment
Confluence Cloud editor
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Confluence page with the cloud editor with Korean words, for example, as below, including the Korean language keyboard input sequence:
- 한글 Korean > gksrmf
- 방송 broadcast > qkdthd
- Save the page
- There isn't any issue when testing searching "한글" in page view mode with Ctrl+F by typing gksrmf with Korean language input.
- Then test searching "한글" in page edit mode with Ctrl+F by typing gksrmf with Korean language input.
Expected Results
The "한글" should be entered in the search panel in the page editing mode as properly composed.
Actual Results
The "한글" is Split into Consonants and Vowels in the search panel in the page editing mode.
Workaround
Adding a "space" in between the Consonants as "한 글" when typing in the search field, for example "gks rmf" and removing the space afterwards, as shown in the screen recording.
