Overview
This feature request addresses the need for support of the 24-hour time format in email notifications for events in Team Calendars. Currently, while the Team Calendars user interface (UI) supports both 12-hour and 24-hour time formats, email notifications regarding calendar events only display the 12-hour time format. This discrepancy can cause confusion and inconvenience for users who prefer or are accustomed to the 24-hour time format.
Current Behavior
- UI Support: The Team Calendars UI allows users to view event times in both 12-hour and 24-hour formats based on their personal or organizational preferences.
- Email Notifications: Notifications sent via email for calendar events are restricted to the 12-hour time format, lacking consistency with the UI settings.
Problem Statement
Users who prefer the 24-hour time format are unable to receive email notifications in their desired format, leading to potential misunderstandings about event timings. This inconsistency between the UI and email notifications could result in missed meetings or scheduling errors, particularly for international teams accustomed to the 24-hour format.
Proposed Solution
