Summary:
In the new Confluence UI, the navigation and functionality of labels have changed, causing usability issues. Previously, labels were conveniently located at the bottom of the page and were clickable, allowing users to navigate and manage content easily.
In the new UI, labels are now found under the "i" ("Details") section at the bottom right and are no longer clickable. This change impacts productivity and efficiency, especially since the current workarounds are not effective for all pages.
Current Challenges:
1. Inaccessible Labels: Labels are no longer directly accessible at the bottom of the page, making it harder for users to quickly identify and interact with page metadata.
2. Non-Clickable Labels: Labels under the "i" ("Details") section are not clickable, limiting the ability to quickly access related content or manage labels effectively.
3. Ineffective Workarounds: The workaround of accessing labels via attachments or the "Connections" field is not viable for all pages. The "Connections" field only appears when a link is present on the page, which is not always the case.
Proposed Solutions:
1. Restore Label Visibility and Clickability:
- Reintroduce clickable labels at the bottom of the page or in a similarly accessible location.
- Ensure labels are visible and clickable in the "Details" section, allowing users to navigate to related content easily.
2. Enhance "Details" Section:
- Improve the "Details" section to make labels more prominent and interactive.
- Provide an option to quickly edit or manage labels directly from this section.
