Page Creators can't delete pages they have created with "Delete Own" Permission

XMLWordPrintable

      Issue Summary

According to the description for "Delete Own" below in this article, the page creator (not owner) should be able to delete the page with "Delete Own" permission. However, they can't.

If the delete own permission is granted to the user or group, they can delete content they created, or content they currently own.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create and publish a page with User 1
      2. Transfer the page owner to User 2
      3. Grant User 1 "Delete Own" permission, no "Pages, whiteboards, databases, and Smart Links - Delete" permission
      4. User 1 tries to delete the page by clicking the three dots on the left panel for this page and clicks "Delete"

      Expected Results

According to the "Delete Own" description, User 1 (Creator) should be able to delete this page

      Actual Results

The "Delete" Option is greyed out for User 1

      Workaround

      • Reassign User 1 as page owner
      • or grant "Pages, whiteboards, databases, and Smart Links - Delete" permission to User 1
