      Summary

In the current Confluence Cloud environment, users are unable to add existing attachments from other pages using the new Fabric editor. This limitation leads to unnecessary duplication of files, increased storage usage, and potential complications in backup processes. This feature request proposes the introduction of functionality that allows users to select and add existing attachments from other pages, similar to the capabilities available in Confluence Server and the legacy editor on Confluence Cloud.

      Impact:
The absence of this feature in the new Fabric editor results in several challenges:

      • Increased Storage Usage: Repeated uploads of the same file lead to unnecessary consumption of storage space.
      • Complicated Backup Processes: Increased storage and file duplication can complicate backup and recovery processes, potentially leading to longer backup times which can result in time outs sometimes.
