Problem
When editing pages in Confluence Cloud using Safari Browser (Version 18.4), inserting macros via the shortcut
results in the shortcut text remaining as part of the content.
This behavior is inconsistent with other browsers like Chrome.
Environment
- Confluence Cloud
- Safari Browser Version 18.4 (20621.1.15.11.10)
Steps to Reproduce
- Open a Confluence Cloud page in Safari.
- Enter edit mode.
- Use the / shortcut to insert a macro, such as "/table of contents" or "/table".
- Observe that the shortcut text (e.g., "/table") remains on the page after the macro is inserted.
Expected Results
The shortcut text should not appear as part of the content after the macro is inserted, similar to the behavior observed in Chrome.
Actual Results
The shortcut text remains visible as part of the page content after the macro insertion.
Workaround
Currently, manually deleting the shortcut text after the macro is inserted is required.
Notes
This issue mirrors similar behavior reported in the bug CONFCLOUD-81481, where text used for @mentions also remains after the action in Safari.
