Issue Summary
Whenever a Jira work item is mentioned in (or created via) a Confluence page, it creates reciprocal links between Confluence and Jira. While the page shows under its "Details > Connections" one or more entries for "Jira work items", the Jira work item shows a "mentioned on <name of the page>" under its links.
This works fine for page and work items under the same site/domain, but not for different ones. When you have Confluence in SiteA and Jira in SiteB, upon mentioning/creating a Jira work item in a page it doesn't appear under "Details > Connections > Jira work items".
If there's an App Link between the two sites/products, the link doesn't appear anywhere in Confluence. If there's NO App Link connection, an entry appears under the page "Details > Connections" but as "Outgoing links" instead of "Jira work items".
This was an issue in the older UI already, but became more apparent in the new UI now with Page Details section.
Steps to Reproduce
- Connect a Confluence product from SiteA to a Jira product from SiteB via App Links.
- Go to a Confluence page in Site A and mention or create a Jira work item in Site B.
- Publish the page and check its Details panel.
Expected Results
An entry to the item is displayed under "Details > Connections > Jira work items".
Actual Results
Nothing is displayed under "Details > Connections".
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
