      Description

Currently, in the new and simplified content layout for Confluence Cloud, a floating action bar appears at the bottom right of the page. However, this UI element sometimes overlaps with page content, causing visibility issues for users. At present, there is no option for individual users to hide or move this floating bar. The layout setting is applied site-wide, and cannot be configured at the user level.

      Suggested features

Customers would like the ability to control the display of the floating action bar on a per-user basis. This includes:

      • An option for users to hide the floating bar
      • The ability to reposition the bar to a less obtrusive location
      • A setting in personal preferences to disable the new content layout individually

      Expected outcome

This improvement would reduce user frustration by allowing greater customization of the UI. It would also mitigate issues where the floating bar interferes with page content or screen readers. For organizations with diverse user needs, this would improve accessibility and overall usability.
