Issue Summary
When the space has long text or an image in the footer and we resize the sidebar, the padding for the Header and Footer breaks on the Overview pages: the Footer padding is slightly shifted to the right in comparison to the Header.
That behavior only happens for space Overview pages, for all the other pages in the space the padding is kept aligned.
See the CONFCLOUD-81366_ reproducing the FE padding bug on space Footer.mp4 for more details.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to a Confluence space, "Space settings > Look and feel > Layout".
- Add a long string to the Header and Footer and hit "Save".
You can use the following values, for example:- HEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEADHEAD
- FOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOTFOOT
- Go to the space Overview and refresh the page to ensure the Header and Footer appear.
- Once you see the new Header and Footer, resize the sidebar, making it larger.
- Check the alignment between the Header and Footer.
Expected Results
Both the Header and Footer remain aligned during the resize of the sidebar.
Actual Results
The Footer content gets slightly shifted to the right.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior.
