Summary:
Currently we have a copy page hierarchy API that allows copying the page structure within the same site. However, transferring page structures between different sites, even within the same organization, requires a manual export/import process. This limitation can be cumbersome and time-consuming for users who manage content across multiple sites.
Suggestion:
To address this need, the existing API could be modified, or a new API could be introduced, to support cross-site page hierarchy transfers. This API should:
- Allow users to specify the source and destination sites.
- Handle authentication and permissions to ensure secure transfers.
- Provide options to retain or modify page metadata during the transfer.
Impact of the feature:
Implementing a feature that allows for the seamless transfer of page hierarchies between sites via API would:
- Enhance productivity by reducing the time and effort required for manual transfers.
- Minimize errors associated with manual export/import processes.
- Improve collaboration and content consistency across different sites within the same organization
