      Issue Summary

      In Database Smart links with no content are not considered empty for filtering

      Steps to Reproduce

      In Confluence Database, when filtering for empty/non-empty values in a smart link field, values that show up with just a link symbol are not treated as empty. 

      This can happen when:

      1. importing empty values to a link field
      1. clearing content in link field through backspace

      Expected Results

      The filter feature should filter out the contents if it is empty. 

      Actual Results

      The Smart links with no content are not considered empty for filtering

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
