Issue Summary
Since Confluence Analytics numbers are based on events triggered by actions taken on pages (creation, updates, etc.), on a few specific occasions, those events may either be duplicated or missed, resulting in discrepancies between the actual number of pages created by a user and what is displayed within Analytics screens.
The discrepancies may be either bigger (potential duplicate events) or lower (potential missed events) numbers than the actual value.
Steps to Reproduce
So far we have not been able to reproduce the issue consistently, but already gathered multiple case examples for analysis.
Expected Results
Numbers matching between DB queries and Analytics
Actual Results
Discrepancies between the number of pages created in DB vs Analytics
Workaround
Currently, the only workaround is to manually search and count the pages from a given user – which we understand is not feasible in most cases.
