      Problem

Currently, spaces can be created with various types such as personal, collaboration, and knowledge base. However, certain features, like site analytics, only operate effectively with system/global spaces. This limitation restricts the functionality and usability of spaces that are not of the system/global type.

      Suggested Solution

Provide a feature that allows users to convert existing space types (personal, collaboration, knowledge bases) into global/system spaces. This conversion could be facilitated through a simple interface or tool, ensuring that all associated pages and content are preserved during the conversion process.

      Why This Is Important

Having the ability to convert space types is crucial for users who need to utilize features exclusive to global/system spaces, such as site analytics. This enhancement will improve the flexibility and functionality of the platform, allowing users to fully leverage Confluence's capabilities without being limited by space type.

      Workaround

Currently, users can create a custom space, which is considered a global space type, and manually move pages from the existing space to the new custom space. This approach retains the content but requires additional effort and management.
