Actual Results
When users open a page in Confluence and press the "R" key, Presenter Mode is activated.
However, single-character keyboard shortcuts can lead to accessibility issues. For screen reader users, they may interfere with commands, causing conflicts. Speech input users may accidentally trigger actions, while keyboard-only users with dexterity challenges are more likely to unintentionally activate functions. Furthermore, when shortcuts can't be remapped, users with cognitive disabilities can't customize them to meet their needs, making navigation more difficult.
Expected Results
Provide a mechanism to disable shortcuts or remap them to other keys. Alternatively, only activate the shortcut when the relevant field is in focus.
It is best practice for shortcuts to include modifier keys such as Ctrl, Alt, or Shift, as they reduce the risk of users accidentally triggering functionality.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
