Issue Summary
When editing a Confluence Cloud page, if a user makes changes to the page in draft mode and then edits and saves a Gliffy chart, the unpublished changes on the Confluence page are lost. This disrupts collaborative editing and results in users losing their work.
This issue significantly impacts collaborative editing as users lose their draft changes, leading to inefficiencies.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to a Confluence Cloud page with an existing saved Gliffy chart.
- Click the "Edit" button to begin editing the page.
- Make some changes to the page but do not publish them.
- Edit Gliffy.
- Make changes to the Gliffy chart and save and return to page.
Expected Results
- The changes made to the Gliffy chart are saved.
- The previously unpublished changes made to the Confluence page remain intact and are not lost.
Actual Results
- The changes made to the Gliffy chart are saved.
- The previously unpublished changes made to the Confluence page are lost.
Workaround
There is no direct workaround to prevent losing unpublished edits. Users must ensure they publish the Confluence page changes before editing and saving any Gliffy chart to avoid data loss.
