Problem
Currently, Confluence Cloud doesn't have a built-in capability to automate the movement of a page and its child pages to a different space while maintaining the original content tree structure with smart links.
When using a CQL branch rule, smart links for the moved pages are created at the same level, disrupting the hierarchy.
Suggested Solution
Implement an automation rule in Confluence that allows users to move a page and all its descendant pages to a specified space. After moving, automatically replace the original page location with smart links for each moved page, preserving the original content tree structure.
Why This Is Important
This feature would enhance the efficiency of content management, especially in large Confluence spaces.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
