Issue Summary

Screen reader navigation loops back to the beginning of the last comment within an inline section.

This issue is exposed only with JAWS/chrome/Windows combination. For NVDA and VO works fine, refer screen recording

Steps to Reproduce

1. Navigate onto the confluence page (containing an inline section with multiple comments).
2. Using JAWS, continue navigating until reaching the last comment within the inline section.
3. Proceed to navigate beyond the end of the main region using down arrow key (keep pressing down arrow).
4. Observe that instead of halting at the main region’s end, the screen reader virtual focus loops back to the beginning of the last comment within the inline section.

Actual Results

After reaching the last comment within the inline section, the screen reader correctly reads the comment. However, upon navigating beyond end of the main region pressing the down key again causes the screen reader virtual focus to unexpectedly loop back to the beginning of the last comment within the inline section. This behavior may lead to confusion for the users of a screen reader.

Expected Results

Make sure that after reaching end of the main region, the screen reader virtual focus halts at the end of the main region or proceeds to the next relevant section or element on the page. This behavior prevents looping back to the beginning of the last comment within the inline section. Refactor the inline comment component to achieve this behavior.

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
