Restoring a page from space trash fails when a duplicate title exists

XMLWordPrintable

      Problem

When attempting to restore a deleted page from the space trash, if a page with the same title exists, the confirmation prompt appears, but the 'Restore' and 'Cancel' buttons don't function.

This prevents users from proceeding with the restore operation or canceling the action.

      Environment

      Confluence Cloud

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Delete a page
      2. Create or ensure there is another page with the same title in the space.
      3. Navigate to space trash and attempt to restore the deleted previously.
      4. Respond to the prompt that appears.

      Expected Results

The user should be able to click the 'Overwrite the existing Page' or 'Restore this Page with a new title' buttons, or press 'Enter' to confirm the action in the modal box.

      Actual Results

The 'Restore' and 'Cancel' buttons in the prompt are unresponsive and cannot be clicked or activated by pressing 'Enter'.

      Workaround

Manually locate the page with the existing duplicate title and rename it before attempting to restore the deleted page from the space trash.

      Notes

This issue disrupts the workflow for users trying to restore pages and may lead to confusion or data management problems due to duplicate titles. Users need to perform additional steps to work around the issue, impacting efficiency.
