Problem
Currently, in Confluence Cloud, Pie Charts only support numeric values. When attempting to create a Pie Chart using text values, the chart does not render and is left blank.
This limitation restricts the flexibility of reporting, as users often need to visualize categorical data based on text values.
Suggested Solution
The suggested solution is to enhance the Pie Chart functionality in Confluence Cloud to support text values, similar to how Google Sheets allows the creation of Pie Charts based on text data.
This would involve updating the data interpretation logic to handle text values and display them properly in the chart.
Why This Is Important
Supporting text values in Pie Charts is crucial as it allows users to visualize categorical data easily. Many users need to report and analyze data based on categories or labels rather than just numerical values.
Enabling this feature would enhance the reporting capabilities of Confluence Cloud, making it more versatile and user-friendly.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

The type of chart to display. XY charts have numerical x- and y-axes. The x values may optionally be time-based. See the timeSeries parameter.
