      Summary:

Confluence's collaborative editing feature is highly effective for enabling multiple users to edit pages simultaneously, improving team efficiency and productivity. While users can see who is actively editing a page in real time and review collaborators in the page history after publishing, there is currently no way to identify which specific user made each change.

This limitation becomes critical when accidental edits or deletions occur. While the page history can help identify the changes, it does not indicate which user made each change, making it difficult to resolve issues or hold users accountable.

      Suggestion:

We propose introducing a feature to track user-specific changes during collaborative editing. This could include a detailed view showing which user made each edit or deletion, both during editing and after publishing, either in the page history or through an enhanced audit log.

      Proposed Impact of the Improvement:

      1. Enhanced Accountability: Teams can identify the specific user responsible for each change, fostering transparency and accountability in collaborative workflows.
      2. Improved Collaboration: By making user-specific edits visible, teams can better understand the contributions of each collaborator, promoting a more efficient and organized editing process.

This feature would strengthen Confluence’s collaborative editing capabilities, providing users with the tools to not only work together seamlessly but also manage and resolve potential issues with ease.
