Issue Summary

The red notification count indicator on Confluence and Jira is not displayed when the user has multiple tabs open. This issue can be replicated by opening four tabs (three Confluence tabs and one Jira tab).

When accessing Confluence in a single tab, the red notification count indicator appears as expected. However, if additional Confluence or Jira tabs are opened, the indicator disappears, when we refresh the initial tab where it was previously visible.

The browser's Developer Tools indicate that the response to the following request is subject to rate limiting, as evidenced by the HTTP 429 return code.

Steps to Reproduce

• Open a Confluence tab.

• Open three or four additional Confluence tabs.

• You may also open a Jira tab from the same site.

Expected Results

The red notification count indicator to be displayed.

Actual Results

The red notification count indicator is not being displayed.

Workaround

The additional tabs may be closed to ensure that the red notification count is displayed accurately.
