Description
Currently, Confluence Whiteboards automatically convert PDF files into image format when imported, displaying only the first page.
While this design aims to visually optimize document representation on whiteboards, it leads to issues such as text distortion, especially for vector-based PDFs.
Customers are requesting an enhancement to allow PDF files to retain their original vector format upon import.
Suggested Features
- Provide an option to import PDF files into Confluence Whiteboards while retaining their vector format.
- Allow users to toggle between displaying the first page as an image or retaining the entire PDF's original format.
- Enable direct interaction with embedded PDFs, such as zooming and scrolling through pages, without leaving the whiteboard interface.
Expected Outcome
By supporting vector PDF imports in their original format, customers can ensure text clarity and avoid distortion.
This feature would greatly benefit teams using Confluence Whiteboards for collaborative work involving high-quality PDF documents, enhancing usability and productivity.
