The current paragraph fields that utilize the wiki renderer in Jira's legacy macro have limited support for various wiki formats. This limitation stems from the legacy rendering formats being primarily maintained for compatibility with older systems and macros. While Jira's wiki field uses wikimarkup, the new Confluence Cloud editor adopts markdown, an industry-standard for its simplicity and ease of use in formatting content.

To improve user experience and functionality, we propose adding native support for the following wikimarkup formatting options:
