Problem
Customers are unable to find the automation icon on the homepage of a Space within Confluence Cloud. The automation icon should allow users to manually trigger automation rules, however, it is not currently displayed as expected.
Environment
This issue relates to the use of Confluence Cloud, specifically, the functionality of manually triggered automation rules on a Space's homepage.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to the homepage of a Space in Confluence Cloud.
- Look for the automation icon (lightning bolt) at the top of the page, which should allow the manual triggering of automation rules.
Expected Results
The automation icon should be visible on the homepage of a Space, since it's also a page. This would allow users to manually trigger automation rules as per the documentation.
Actual Results
The automation icon is not visible on the homepage of a Space. As a result, users are unable to manually trigger automation rules from this location.
Workaround
Currently, there is no known workaround for this issue.
Trigger the automation from a normal page, could be an option depending on the scenario.
Notes
This issue was also reported in our community. The expectation that the automation icon should be available on the homepage of a Space is based on the assumption that a Space's homepage is also considered a Page.
