Deleting Pasted Bullet Moves Text to End of Line on the Legacy Editor

      Issue Summary

      Using the Legacy Editor, if we copy a bulleted list line, paste in the middle of another bulleted line and hit tab to delete the bullet, the pasted text moves to the end of the line

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a bullet with some text:

      * middle

      3. Create another bullet with some text

      * middle
      * start and end of sentence

      4. Copy the contents of the first bullet by triple-clicking the text (or if the text is a hyperlink, click-and-drag to highlight the text), and pressing Ctrl-C
      5. Click into the middle of the second bullet to put the cursor there

       * middle
       * start
          * middle
          and end of sentence

      6. Click to the start of the inserted bullet and type "backspace" to bring the pasted content onto the line of the second bullet

      Expected Results

       * middle
       * start middle and end of sentence

      Actual Results

       * middle
       * start and end of sentencemiddle

            Hi everyone,

            This is Erik from the Confluence team. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We appreciate the details you've provided to help us understand the situation. We want to communicate transparently that we will not be fixing this bug due to its impact level.

            It's important to note that the legacy editor is in maintenance mode, which means that bugs, unless classified as major incidents, will no longer be addressed. As such, minor issues or inconveniences may persist and might disrupt your workflow. We highly recommend converting your pages to the new editor for a better experience. You can find guidance on how to do this in our documentation: Convert Pages to the New Editor.

            Thank you again for providing valuable feedback to our team!

            Thank you,

            Erik
