      When an old version of a Confluence page is removed from the page history, the version numbers of all subsequent pages decrease by 1.

      That means page versions on the cloud are not stable. This is data corruption.

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Generate different versions of a page.
      • Remove a page version through the page history.
      • Subsequent version numbers will decrease by 1.

      Expected Results

      Page versions should be stable.

      Actual Results

      Page versions are decreased.

      Workaround

      Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
