Currently, when importing data from Jira into the Database, the existing filters, fields, and view configurations are replaced. This requires users to reconfigure their setup each time they import new information, which can be time-consuming and inefficient.

The suggestion is to enhance the import functionality so that it appends new data without altering the existing configuration. This would allow users to maintain their custom views, fields, and filters while seamlessly adding new information.

Additionally, there seems to be a limitation with the current functionality that only allows selecting individual items rather than batch-importing all stories under a parent using JQL. Enhancing this capability to support broader queries would greatly improve efficiency, especially for users dealing with dynamic parent-child relationships where new parents are frequently added.

      Benefits:

      • Saves time and effort by preserving user configurations during data imports.
      • Increases productivity by enabling bulk data operations through enhanced JQL support.
      • Improves user satisfaction by aligning the tool's functionality with real-world use cases.

[CONFCLOUD-79558] When importing to the Database, don't replace current view, fields, filters already set up.
