When Jira and Confluence are on the same site, the default system application links cannot be removed. These links are created automatically when the products are on the same site to allow for seamless integration and collaboration between the two. If you've split Jira and Confluence onto different sites, the system application link may still appear but it won't function as before. As of now, there's no official method to remove these default system application links.
