Currently there is no possibility to copy or move templates between spaces. Also, there is no possibility to convert a Space Template into a Global Template.

It would be useful to have a feature that allows these operations between spaces, and also transform them into Global Templates.

Currently, the workaround for this would be the following:

      Space Templates

      • Navigate to the space that currently has the template.
      • Navigate to Space Settings > Templates (under Look and Feel)
      • Click edit on the desired template, and then select and copy the entire content of the template (you can use CTRL+A or CMD+A for this).
      • Navigate to the destination space.
      • Navigate to Space Settings > Templates (under Look and Feel)
      • Click Create New Template and then paste the content into the new template.

Once you're happy with the result, you can move forward with deleting the template from the source space if that is the goal.

      Global Templates

      • Navigate to the space that currently has the template.
      • Navigate to Space Settings > Templates (under Look and Feel)
      • Click edit on the desired template, and then select and copy the entire content of the template (you can use CTRL+A or CMD+A for this).
      • Navigate to Confluence Administration (gear icon)
      • Navigate to Global Templates and Blueprints > Templates (under Look and Feel)
      • Click Add Global Template and then paste the content into the new template.

Once you're happy with the result, you can move forward with deleting the template from the source space if that is the goal.
