Problem
When attempting to insert one or two excerpts from a blog post using the include excerpt function, the function fails to locate either of the excerpts.
Instead, it displays "No excerpts found". If the user proceeds with the insertion, a random excerpt from the blog post is inserted.
Environment
This issue has been observed in Confluence Cloud.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to a blog post with two excerpts added.
- Attempt to add any of these excerpts to a normal page using the include excerpt macro.
- Observe that although the blogpost is found, it always displays "No excerpts found".
Note:
- Pressing insert after attempting to add an excerpts results in a random excerpt being inserted into the page.
Expected Results
The include excerpt function should list all available excerpts from the specified blog post, allowing the user to select and insert them into a Confluence page.
Actual Results
The include excerpt function fails to find any excerpts in the specified blog post, displaying "No excerpts found". If the user clicks on insert anyway, Confluence randomly selects and inserts one of the excerpts from the blog post.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
Notes
- The insert blogpost macro is also affected by this bug
- Standard pages doesn't seem to have this issue, only excerpts from BlogPosts.
