      Problem Definition

      When a user tries to access a restricted Space, a "You don't have access to this space" message will appear. By clicking on 'Request space access', a notification will be sent to potential approvers via email as mentioned on Request Space access now in Confluence!.

      Currently there is no centralized menu in Confluence that lists pending access requests, and approvers have to rely on emails to approve all requests. This can lead to multiple access requests being missed.

      Suggested Solution

      Create a menu that centralizes access requests where Space Admins can:

      • see a list of pending access requests;
      • approve / reject them;
      • see a history of processed requests.

      Workaround

      Space Administrators can check their emails with the subject "USER requested access to your space" - eg:

      Charlie of Atlassian requested access to your space
