Issue Summary
The page history allows users to compare two page versions and see the "diff" or breakdown of content added, removed, or changed. When color is added to a block of text, the page history will always show "Formatting was changed" in the diff, even if no changes were made to that particular block in that version.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page.
- Add text to the page, highlight the text, and change the text color to red.
- Publish the page.
- Edit the page, add more text, and publish.
- Compare v1 and v2 of the the page in page's history.
Expected Results
The diff should only show the added text in step 4.
Actual Results
The diff shows the added text in step 4, but also shows the colored text from step 2 highlighted in blue, indicating that "Formatting was changed".
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
