Problem

Editing the homepage in new "Collaboration" spaces redirects users back to the published page instead of opening the edit draft. This issue emerged after the new space creation flow was introduced.

Environment

• Affected platform: Confluence Cloud.
• Applies to "Collaboration" spaces created following the update detailed in this community post.

Steps to Reproduce

1. In a "Collaboration" space created post-update, click 'Edit' on the homepage.
2. Observe the redirection behavior.

Expected Results

The draft version of the homepage should open for editing.

Actual Results

The editor attempts to load but then redirects to the published homepage, preventing any changes.

Workaround

Edit a different page and set it as the homepage using the below steps:

1. Disable Live edit in Space settings -> Features
2. Create a new page (which will be in published mode)
3. Move all existing pages to be children of the new page
4. Set the new page as the space overview
5. Re-enable Live edit pages

This is the only known workaround at the moment.
