      Issue Summary

When page titles start with a dot (.) character, these pages cannot be navigated to using a link as it would result in a 404 error in the browser:

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a new blank Confluence page
      2. Set the first character of the title as a dot character, for example ".test"
      3. Add dummy content and publish the page
      4. Copy the page's URL and paste it on a new tab or simply refresh the newly published page

      Expected Results

The link should take the user to the page

      Actual Results

The link goes to a 404 page and the only way to get to the page is by removing the title completely from the URL

      Workaround

      • Avoid using a dot character as the first character in a page's title
      • Or remove the title part from the page's URL for example:

            Assignee:
            Unassigned
            Reporter:
            Julian (Inactive)
